Mohamed Ibrahim awarded the 2021 UCL Roger Tomlinson Award

The 2021 UCL Roger Tomlinson Award has been awarded to Dr Mohamed R Ibrahim for his thesis entitled ‘A computer vision system for detecting and analysing critical events in cities’. The thesis was submitted on 1 February 2021 within three-and-a-half years of registration and has led, directly or indirectly, to thirteen publications to date. Mohamed completed his PhD in the SpaceTimeLab, Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (CEGE) at UCL under the supervision of Dr James Haworth and Professor Tao Cheng. The Awards Committee particularly commended the timely submission of an innovative thesis and the scale and range of published work arising from the thesis.
